The Caregiver ReCharge Services provides temporary, worry-free in-home relief so that you can take a break, whether it’s for a few hours, a day, or a weekend.

Our in-home support services include:
Companionship Support & Safety Monitoring
- Some recreational activities (i.e. playing cards, reading etc.)
- Redirection, prompting, cueing
- Safety checks, helping to prevent wandering
Activities of Daily Living
- Movement and transfers
- Dressing and undressing
- Personal hygiene, bathing and going to the bathroom
Instrumental Activities of Daily Living
- Preparing meals
- Help with eating
- Medication reminders
- Homemaking (i.e. light housekeeping, laundry)
How it works

Eligibility
Eligibility is determined based on a standardized assessments. Clients must live in Oakville, Milton, Georgetown, Halton Hills, Mississauga or South Etobicoke and have a valid health card number.

Our services
Non-medical assistance with personal care, ambulation and range of motion exercises, meals, medication reminders, light housekeeping, safety & risk monitoring and companionship.

Our providers
Our services are provided through out a 24 hours period by skilled Personal support workers (PSWs).

Cost
There is no cost to caregivers for this program. Caregiver Recharge Services are funded by Ontario Health, for caregivers who provide daily support and live in the South Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville, Georgetown, Milton and Halton Hills areas.
